Dr. Emily Obwaka is a Christian leader in Africa with over 20 years of experience working in the government, local and international NGO and church arenas. She served as the Continental Coordinator for the Pan African Christian Women’s Alliance (PACWA) of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA). Dr. Obwaka has presented papers in local and international forums including Global Mentorship Network and African Forum on Religion and Government (AFReG 3) most recently.
Dr. Obwaka is a public health specialist and an ordained minister with Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) serving as a minister at large in the Church of Jesus Christ. Dr. Obwaka is currently Program Director for Teen Challenge Women’s Center in Kenya working with women in addiction to drugs, alcohol and other life controlling issues. She also serves as a chaplain at the Nairobi Hospital.
Dr. Obwaka serves on the board of LIA Kenya, Coalition for Prison Evangelists (COPE) Kenya, Christ Inspired Pastoral Initiatives (CIPI), BIBLICA Kenya and most recently, AFReG.
